TOPIC 1: „Office Automation & Supply Chain: From RPA’s Historical Roots to Platform-Driven Futures“

Dr. Bernhard Axmann is Professor of Digital Business, Production, and Supply Chain at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). His research focuses on digital factory concepts, supply chain innovations, and structured evaluation methods for emerging technologies. He is the developer of the 5D Digital Technology Assessment model, which evaluates new technologies along the dimensions of benefits, readiness, usability, organizational fit, and costs. This framework has been successfully applied to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and office automation, as well as other digital transformation approaches. His publications further address process and software selection for automation projects, data quality management, and applications of chatbots in industrial contexts. Before joining academia, Prof. Axmann accumulated more than 16 years of industry experience, primarily in top management positions. He held senior leadership roles in production, lean transformation, programme management, and supply chain across internationally renowned companies, including MTU Aero Engines, August Steinmeyer, STEMME AG, and SELL, a global market leader in aircraft galleys for Airbus and Boeing. Prof. Axmann combines his extensive industry background with academic research to bridge theory and practice. His overarching aim is to make digital technologies more accessible and effective for production, supply chain, and office environments. His work has been widely recognized, with more than 11,000 reads and over 200 citations.

TOPIC 2: „AI & Automation in Logistics – overview of innovation in supply chain“

Luka Jakovljevic works as an AI & Automation Manager at Milsped, a company specializing in Transportation & Logistics, active in 15 countries across 3 continents. This role combines RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) teams with the goal to drive more efficient and sustainable logistics solutions. From 2019 to 2022, Luka was affiliated as an R&D Engineer with Nokia Bell Labs France as a part of the AI Research Lab, with a goal to advance the field of Predictive Analytics in Complex Distributed Systems such as 5G networks. During Master program at University Paris Saclay – Telecom ParisTech, he has broadened knowledge in the field of Data Science. Before coming to France, Luka obtained a BSc from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade in Serbia.
TOPIC 3: „The Digital Transformation of Military Logistics“

Dragan Vasiljević is a full professor at the University of Belgrade and head of the Department of Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. He received his PhD in technical sciences from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade in 1998. in the field of industrial logistics. The narrowest areas of his scientific and professional interest are computer-controlled and lean logistics and their application in organizational systems. He completed a one-year professional training in the field of operations and logistics management in Switzerland. He is the author and/or co-author of about 120 scientific and professional papers published in foreign and domestic journals, proceedings of symposia and conferences, as well as several university textbooks and publications. He has participated in 18 national and international projects, some of which he has managed.
